Agora real emphasis is on the rise of Christianity and the case of the Gentiles and the Jews in the city. We are the events that begin to boil over as tempers among religions show unfold. Agora also suffers ever so slightly by the Australia effect - at a point in the middle, the story jumps a few years ago, and the cleavage could be the perfect place break the film in two. But I for my part, will argue that Agora is great as it is, and I'll be happy it it again in the future, if not at least appreciate the epic historical story.
