Kasi Lemmons, who directed Talk to Me and the Caveman Valentine download NightClock Donate free android app . The story follows a young black teenager from Baltimore, who is sent by his single mother in Harlem, to spend Christmas with his grandparents , he has never met. Through his grandfather's Christmas Eve sermon and a stylized, dream - sequence retelling of the classic Christmas story, he learns about the importance of faith and family. The young lead has yet to be cast, but Jackson and Bassett will play his grandparents and Reverend Clarence Cobb and Aretha, but it sounds like the former play several characters in the Nativity retelling. In the meantime, Hudson plays the boy's mother, who has not spoken to her father since they fall out, after she became pregnant.
